The battery pack for the light of 25W

General description

ELUPS-25W no-break power lighting adaptor (hereinafter adaptor) is an aluminum storage battery pack (12V 7 Ah) and converter board (12V -> 60V) with charge source of the battery of 450mA and controller.

The adaptor provides the following functionality:

  • Control of the availability of emergency power supply (220VAC).
  • The battery charge from the emergency stock.
  • Switching off the battery when the voltage at the level of 13,75V.
  • Control of voltage of the lights.
  • Turning the transmitter in case of absence of volts unsafeand the lightning voltage.
  • Setting the maximum brightness of the lights.
  • Turning off the lamp when the battery discharges to 10V.
  • Reducing the brightness of the light when the battery discharges to 10V if there is a need to extend the glow.
  • Adaptor turns off in case of full discharge of the battery.

The Adaptor is connected without switches to emergency lines or to the lighting line and specially prepared lamp (Figure 1).

Preparation for work

The adaptor comes in two versions:

  • With the battery pack installed.
  • No battery

If the battery is installed, connecting the adaptorto the emergency lines and to the lamp is enough for usage. The adaptor turns on when the voltage on the emergency lines rises to the 220VAC.

Attention!!! Once the adaptor turns on, it stays in the active mode. If you turn off the emergency line the adaptor will run on the battery power (it will discharge the battery).

If the battery is not installed, you must install it:

  • Unscrew the 4 screws from the cover and remove the cover.
  • Release the ground screw and remove it together with the terminal through the slot (Figure 2).
  • Insert the battery and connect the terminals according to the polarity (Figure 3).
  • Push the battery until it stops, refit and tighten the grounding screw
  • Close the cover lid and secure it with screws.

Setting the maximum brightness

The adaptor allows you to select 4 different lamp brightness when running on a battery.

To set the selection mode, you must:

  • Unscrew the 4 screws from the cover and remove the cover.
  • Pull the card (Figure 4).
  • Change the configuration switches.
  • Install the card into the place.
  • Close the lid and secure it with screws.

The brightness reduction mode

The brightness reduction mode allows to increase the on-time of the lamp at the discharged battery by reducing the power consumption. The brightness of the lamp gradually decreases to a minimum, due to this, the lamp can light up to a few hours longer.

The brightness reduction mode is switched off. The lamp turns off when the battery voltage drops to 10,5 V

The brightness reduction mode is switched on. The brightness of the lamp will decrease with decreasing of battery voltage up to 10,5 V. Upon reaching the minimum brightness andd with a decrease in the battery voltage up to 10,5 V the lamp turns off.

State of emergency

If the battery voltage is lower than 11,5V, with the loss of voltage alarm, the lamp will not turn on.

In case of loss of the voltage to the lamp line, and if the adaptor is connected to the emergency line that has been disconnected, the lamp will not turn on.

The adaptor is protected in case of the emergency line is disconnected, and the lamp from will light from its line.

Performance indication

With bi-color LED, you can determine the mode of the adaptor.

Redcontinuouslylits

There is voltage on the emergency line.

The battery charge is completed.

Red flashes once per second

There is voltage on the emergency line.

The battery is charging.

Red flashes 2 times per second

There is no voltage on the emergency line.

The lamp works on its line.

There is no voltage on the emergency line.

The lamp works on the battery.

Blue flashes once per second

There is no voltage on the emergency line.

The battery voltage is dropped up to 10.5 V.

Theswich 4 = Off – The lamp is offline.

Theswitch 4 = On – The lamp works in the brightness reduction mode from the battery.
